FINAL PROJECT REPORT – COMPUTER PURCHASE
Location: Mwanza, Tanzania
Organization: The Hope Relief And Orphans Childern Village Organization
Amount received: DKK 4,800
1. Project Vision and Implementation
At , The Hope Relief And orphans Childern Village Organization our dream has always been to equip vulnerable children with the tools they need to succeed in a modern and digital world. Many of the children in our center had never touched a computer before.
Access to digital education is still very limited in our community. With the generous support of DKK 4,800 from Sukuma Dance Group – Denmark, we successfully purchased five (5) computers for our learning center. The process went smoothly. We identified a trusted local supplier, compared prices, and ensured the computers had warranty and technical support. There were no major changes to the original plan, and the project was completed as scheduled. When the computers arrived, the children were extremely excited. For many of them, this was their very first experience using technology. We organized orientation sessions and began basic computer literacy training immediately.
2. Accounting – Use of Funds
• Purchase of 5 computers – DKK 4,800
• All funds were used directly for computer purchase.
• No deviation from the approved budget.
3. Impact on the Children
The computers are now being used daily for: – Basic computer training – Typing and digital literacy skills – School research and assignments – Educational learning programs
This project has significantly improved learning opportunities for the children. They are building confidence, curiosity, and essential digital skills that will support their academic journey and future careers.
4. Future Needs and Sustainability
Although five computers have made a big difference, the number is still not enough for all the children at our center. We currently have more children than available computers, which means they must share and rotate in small groups. To fully meet the growing demand and ensure equal access for every child, we aim to add at least 5 more computers in the near future. This would allow us to create a complete digital learning space and expand structured computer training programs. We remain committed to maintaining the equipment properly and continuing digital education as a permanent part of our programs.
5. Pictures and Documentation
High-resolution pictures of the purchased computers and children using them are attached separately as required. If needed, video documentation of the training sessions can also be provided.
Conclusion
We are deeply grateful to Sukuma Dance Group – Denmark and Ukassen for believing in our vision and supporting this important project. Your contribution has created real and lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable children in Mwanza, Tanzania. With sincere appreciation,
